Tim Gagnon is not just an “instructor “ when it comes to Art class- he is a “teacher.” He passionately shares his experiences of his own journey through art education. He enthusiastically leads each student through practices that develop skill sets while providing valuable information on products and techniques. He is honest and helpful and will give each student the drive to get to the next level. Tim has a user-friendly style that will keep any student confident and satisfied.

After studying drawing and painting under Tim Gagnon for a few years, I have seen my growth as an artist grow significantly. With little or no art instruction prior to taking Tim's classes, I am now showing my art in several galleries and juried exhibitions

Tim's.teaching process is easy to understand and provides basic drawing & painting principles, and also moves into more advanced learning.

Tim has a gift for breaking down complex subjects into manageable stages. His no-

stress teaching style focuses on the foundations and advances to handling more complex

subjects. Tim’s calming easy-going attitude and his constructive encouragement has given

me the voice to advance my skills to the next level.

I enrolled in Professor Gagnon‘s class at Gulf Coast about ten years ago as a beginner student.  It is now my honor to take private classes at his studio presently.

Tim’s love for art is contagious. Tim has an unbelievable amount of patience with beginner students.  His encouragement has awarded him a large following of students at all levels of accomplishment in his classes.

Personally, I feel he has given me such a solid foundation not only in drawing but also in painting. He offers a wide variety of classes in old masters drawing, charcoal and pastel drawing, perspective drawing, etc.  Tim makes drawing fun to learn.  He encourages and demonstrates no matter how difficult the topic.  He always looks for ways to help us learn an easier way to overcome our individual struggles .

Tim’s painting classes are jammed full of learning and techniques.  Again his patience knows no boundaries, he is always so constructive when he critiques students' work. He has a way of encouraging all levels and pushing us to improve and advance our skills.

In closing,  I have to mention what a fun, magnetic, enthusiastic, friendly, and interesting personality Tim generates in class.
